Join us for an inspiring lunchtime event delivered in partnership with The Melting Pot, where we will explore the impact of value-driven leadership.

You will hear from Josh Miller (Joint-Managing Director, Charlie Miller), who will explore how using values can guide us as individuals, and guide our team to drive impactful results. Josh will share his story about identifying Charlie Miller’s values, and practical insights into embedding them into their workplace culture with purpose.

We’ll also hear from Professor Bridgette Wessels, University of Glasgow and Co-Lead of the Productivity Institute Scotland Forum. Prof. Wessels will present early findings from the research project Purpose in Business: Empowering Employees and Enhancing Productivity.

Lunch is provided, and there will be opportunities to network with your peers before the event.

Josh Miller

Josh Miller (Joint Managing Director, Charlie Miller Hairdressing) plays a vital role in the company’s development and growth and has been instrumental in its steady expansion opening multiple salons and a training academy across the city of Edinburgh.
Josh is key to the development of management and leadership training programmes and works with outside organisations to address the needs of senior managers and the growth and development of young up-and-coming managers.

Prof Bridgette Wessels is Co-lead of the Scotland Forum of the ESRC funded Productivity Institute. She is Professor of Social Inequality at the University of Glasgow. Her research focuses on inclusive growth and improving prosperity for all. She has worked with private, public sector and third sector partners on projects that aim to improve outcomes for business, public sector, communities and people.
