Join us for this practical online session with CogMission where we will discuss how to support women going through menopause in the workplace

Menopause and perimenopause can bring more than just hot flushes – many women experience brain fog, low mood, disrupted sleep, and fluctuating energy levels that directly impact their focus, creativity, and productivity at work.

For small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), understanding and supporting employees through this transition isn’t just a wellbeing issue, it’s a business imperative.

Led by Charmaine ShepherdClinic Director & Functional Medicine Practitioner and Jean Dow, Clinic Director, Functional Medicine Practitioner & Medical Herbalist, this session will equip you with tools to support your team and help women thrive at the peak of their professional experience.

This practical and empowering event will explore:

  • Why menopause matters in the workplace – and the cost of ignoring it
  • The science behind brain fog and how hormonal changes affect memory, focus, and mood
  • Actionable strategies to support brain health, energy, and resilience
  • How SMEs can create a supportive culture without needing big budgets or HR departments

Charmaine brings over two decades of clinical experience and a warm, thoughtful approach to helping people reclaim their health and vitality.

A fully certified Functional Medicine Practitioner and a background in biomedical science, acupuncture, and advanced laboratory testing, Charmaine brings together the best of traditional and modern medicine. Her work is grounded in evidence, but always delivered with compassion—meeting each person where they are, and supporting them to feel clearer, stronger, and more in tune with their body and mind.

Jean is a medical herbalist with more than 20 years of clinical experience.

She offers personalised, patient-centred care in Edinburgh and the Isle of Skye, combining traditional herbal medicine with modern diagnostics.
