Smart goals, fair roles

12:30pm
MyEdinburgh, EH7 5JG
Edinburgh

Open to All, Peer Works

Come along to our next lunch and learn event and hear from Liz Partington, Deputy Chief Executive of Changeworks, on how they have embedded Fair Work in their organisation.

The Scottish Government encourages employers to adopt Fair Work practices through its Fair Work First policy. If your organisation is applying for public sector funding, you’ll need to meet certain criteria.

Over £2.6 billion in public grants were awarded under Fair Work First in 2023-24. That’s a strong signal: Fair Work is becoming the norm, not the exception.

Research shows that Fair Work practices lead to:

  • Higher productivity
  • Better staff wellbeing
  • Improved work-life balance
  • Greater inclusion and diversity

But what does Fair Work mean for business?

This event offers a valuable opportunity to:

  • Understand what fair work means for businesses and organisations
  • Learn from what your peers are doing
  • Validate your current approach

On the day you will hear from Liz Partington, Deputy Chief Executive of Changeworks, about how they implemented Fair Work practices within their organisation, including challenges and benefits.

Join us for an insightful and practical event!

This event is part of the Scottish Government’s Fair Work Festival, a week-long initiative to raise awareness of Fair Work and highlight its positive impact in the workplace
