Open to All, Peer Works

In this session we will understand how to use the B Corp framework to develop a sustainable and inclusive business strategy

Speaker: Michelle Sutherland, CEO & Founder, Definitii

People should attend this session if they have never heard of B Corp or the B Corp Business Impact Assessment (BIA) before, or if they have and are curious to fully understand it.

Certified B Corporations are leaders in the global movement for an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy.

In order to become B Corp certified you must complete the Business Impact Assessment (BIA). This assessment is rigorous, detailed and holistic. It asks questions across every area of your business from Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customers so it not exclusively focused on a single social or environmental issue.

These 200+ questions can act as a framework for entrepreneurs / business owners to understand the fundamentals of how you can create a business that is a force for good, ie purpose / mission driven, taking into consideration its impact on its employees, its community and the environmental impact of their product or service and how they treat their customers.

Michelle Sutherland, CEO & Founder, Definitii will talk us through the framework and answer any questions you might have on the topic.

Michelle is a Social Entrepreneur. Rebel. Change Maker & B Consultant. Passionate about change – creating businesses & systems for the greater good of all –  for people, our local communities and our planet. Michelle asked herself 3 key questions in June 2020 in the middle of a global crisis “what more can I do for myself, what more can I do for my community & what more can I do for our planet?” and that was when Definitii was born. Michelle truly believes the B Corp process empowers businesses to be better and to lead for the greater good of all. As a B Consultant she helps businesses to complete the B Impact Assessment, improve their social & environmental impact and become B Corp certified.
