Productivity Matters 2025: Discover the Five Drivers of Business Success
In less than two months, on 7th October, Peer Works will host its sixth annual conference.
This year’s theme, inspired by The Productivity Institute’s briefing paper, ‘Strategic Productivity for the Leadership Team’, will focus on the five key drivers of productivity.
The paper explores how leadership teams can collaborate more effectively across different areas of their organisation to drive productivity. Rather than being confined to boardroom discussions, productivity should be part of everyday conversations across all teams.
The 5 Drivers of Productivity
- Marketing & Communication – Aligning brand, culture, and customer insight to boost value and relevance. Strong communication across teams and with customers supports better decision-making and clearer strategy.
- Innovation & Digital Adoption – Using technology, data, and new ways of working to improve efficiency and unlock growth. Adopting the right tools and digital practices can transform how organisations operate.
- Management Competencies – Building confident, collaborative leaders who can guide teams and drive change. Good management practices are essential for motivating staff and aligning efforts across the organisation.
- Worker Skills, Engagement & Wellbeing – Supporting staff through training, engagement, and inclusive practices. A skilled and motivated workforce is key to improving performance and reducing turnover.
- Access to Finance & Cost Savings – Viewing finance as a strategic tool for investment and innovation. Smart financial planning enables organisations to grow and adapt sustainably.
Agenda Highlights
Productivity Matters 2025 will offer a mix of workshops, case studies, and panel discussions to help you gain practical tips you can use when you go back to the day job. See the agenda HERE.
Our workshops will focus on job crafting – a proactive approach to redesigning work so it aligns with individual strengths, values, and interests – and on using data-led approaches to drive smarter business decisions. We will also host an expert panel on access to finance, exploring how organisations can embrace smart financial planning to support sustainable growth.
You’ll hear from Mark Scott, co-founder of Bella+Duke, the successful Fife-based pet food business, on how he built a strong, positive culture without losing sight of growth. Jill Walker, Director of Marketing & Digital at VisitScotland, will also share how to build a powerful brand and marketing strategy.
